Bootylicious Bootcamp

Stair workouts ROCK, especially when you’re making someone else do them. Oh I did them too, trust me! They’re great for your glutes and build strong beautiful legs. We decided we’ll have to rename ourselves Hot Legs Marysville when we’re done!
Ran some, ran stairs, skipped stairs, shutter steps, calf raises, more stairs, more running, some upper body work with bands, and then moved down the mat for planks, crunches, pushups, and more planks and more crunches. Finished with some nice stretches and then had a great talk about weight loss (unplanned, but still nice).
Great workout!

Run with my dogs!

Took the gruesome twosome out for a run today. Hit a few snags where Dash got scared and wouldn’t go forward, and had a few “Wait WAIT!” moments when they forgot their training and lunged at dogs, but overall it was a good run. Did the loop. I had hoped to run five, but it was obvious that Chunky McBunkerson wasn’t going to make a 5-spot, plus I have stairs planned for bootcamp later tonight, so cut it down to four. Dash hasn’t run as much mileage as Wiley lately, and he has put on a few pounds so I need to ease him back in a little at a time. He did pretty well, though! I always, when I used to walk him as a puppy, would sit down on the porch with him and give him snugs and tell him what a GOOD BOY he was to encourage him and end our walks on a positive note (because he’s a rather fearful dog and sometimes things on the walk would scare him). It was so cute. He did the same thing today. As soon as we got home, he sat on the porch and looked at me expectantly like “Where are my snugs?!” So he got ‘em!
